Abstract: Urbanization in recent day has more impact on usage on usage of land for different purposes. Underground soil has the possibility to collapse due to its varying characteristics and can cause problems in underground construction. Diaphragm wall is a perfect solution for this problem as it provides support to collapsible soil and also it can help in constructing the underground structures like subway, parking etc. But diaphragm wall can also undergo deflection caused by various reason like seismic effect, constraints due to site condition, soil condition, construction technique. Analysis were done on diaphragm wall under critical condition in terms of soil characteristics, loading and construction technique and has been analyzed using finite element analysis software and other numerical software. Here review work has done regarding research work of some authors who has worked on are deflection of diaphragm wall due to variety of reason.
