Abstract: In recent times, Hybrid systems are alternatives to the conventional generation systems. This work investigates closed loop response of Fuzzy Logic Controlled Hybrid Wind-Solar System (HWSS). The objective of the proposed hybrid system is to increase the dynamic response of HWSS system using suitable intelligent controller. Models were developed for Proportional Integral (PI) and Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) based HWSS. Simulation studies are performed and the result shows an improved dynamic performance by employing FLC. The investigations indicate that HWSS has low settling time and low steady state error.
Keywords: HWSS, PI, FLC.
