Abstract: To design and optimization of a structure, elastic properties are the basic quantities are required. This work is focused on evaluation of elastic constants jute reinforced E-glass composites. The specimens were fabricated by hand-lay-up technique. Theoretically, the elastic properties are envisaged by using rule of hybrid mixture model, using the resin and fibre properties together with the volume fraction. Experimentally, the elastic properties have been evaluated by tension test and compression tests as per ASTM standards. Then analysis is done based on Ansys. The results indicated that the there is no much difference between the tensile and compression test results.
