Abstract: Concrete is a combination of fine and coarse aggregates &cement with water. It is a material that is widely used for construction building and other civil engineering structures. The basic objective of this study was to identify alternative source of good quality fine aggregate. During the production of stain less steel in industries, Ferro chrome slag is produced in process of calcinations at 1700 degree centigrade in liquid state, at certain temperature conditions and then hardened in solid form which is a waste material. The waste material can be used as partial replacement of fine aggregates in concrete. In this study, M30 grade of concrete is designed and tests were carried out with different percentage of Ferro chrome slag as a partial replacement of fine aggregate in concrete. The sand is replaced with the slag from 0, 10, 20, 30& 40%. For strength parameters the compressive, tensile and flexural strength tests are carried out on cubes, cylinders and prisms specimens at the age of 7 & 28 days of standard curing and for fresh concrete slump and compaction factor test is carried to know the workability of concrete. For durability study, acid & alkaline tests are carried out.
